Kings Field Youth Cafe Project/KCafe

KCafe is a new and exciting project run by Richmond Youth Partnership based in Bushy Park, Hampton Wick. The café is based on the concept of a facility that is “for the community and by young people”. We believe that providing a café in a beautiful, child friendly setting for the public and offering jobs to the young people attending the skate park we will be able to fund additional activities and space for the 13-19 age group.

Kcafe runs three youth sessions for young people, aged 13 – 19,

Wednesdays 4:30pm – 7:00pm

Friday 4.30-7pm

Saturdays 4:00pm – 7:00pm

Also drop in Tuesday 1-6pm

We are planning to run different projects for young people, such as music, drama, and art workshops, sporting events, residential trips and other new and exciting projects as well as looking at what we can offer other members of the park community. These events will include the regular summer Skate and Surf Safari to Newquay and skate/ BMX and in line skate competitions.

The cafe is open Thurs- Sunday and staffed by young people from the young peoples’ project. It is our aim to be as fair trade environmentally friendly and child friendly as we can. So, why don’t you visit us and treat yourself to a nice cup of coffee with a piece of delicious cake!
