Our key aims are:
- To develop and deliver strategic , independent, professional and sustainably funded voluntary youth services.
- To develop and deliver innovative youth services such as Off The Record, Detached Drugs Project, and the Youth Café Project and to work in partnership with other agencies.
- To develop a better understanding of what young people want by involving them at all levels of the organization and to seek to address these identified needs.
- To deliver services to voluntary groups in membership and support them in the following ways; To work in partnership, to lobby and advocate on their behalf, to inform, to disseminate information, to provide equipment and services.
What are the objectives of RYP as KSO?
- To continue to support and develop innovative youth projects/services in response to identified gaps.
- To advocate on behalf of the voluntary youth sector in the borough.
- To identify needs for young people in the borough through close partnerships with the borough youth service, youth groups and projects and young people.
- To develop support for all those working with young people through our projects, web-sites, magazines, training, events and other means.
What We Aim to Deliver in Our 2006/2007?
- Expand our project work into more local schools.
- Deliver a new range of holiday activities.
- Continue to work closely with voluntary youth groups in the borough.
- Publish a quarterly magazine and establish an E-Bulletin to share information to members.
- Develop new projects such as the King's Field Skate Park.
- Run an activity programme for members.
