King’s Field rebuild underway!!!

Friday, September 28th, 2007

After years of planning the builders have finally started the reconstruction of King’s Field pavilion (hello Dave!!)
Plans for the proposed youth cafe are available to view below. The skaters at the site have been heavily involved in the planning and RYP will continue to ensure users views are incorporated into the design. Youth Cafe Bus staff will be recruiting and training the steering group for the cafe in the coming months. The cafe is due to open in February/March 2008.

Go Ahead For King’s Field Community Café

Tuesday, September 26th, 2006

cafe_article.jpg

On September 11th Richmond Council agreed to proceed with plans that have been developed by RYP and LBRUT Parks to renovate the derelict pavilion building in King’s Field Skate Park (see article above.) The building will be open as a community café and will serve as a base for a range of services and activities for all those that use the King’s Field.

RYP is delighted at this development. We believe that the new café will be a fantastic resource for users of the site. We have been developing close links with the young people and local residents who use the King’s Field. We shall be convening regular meetings as the renovation is undertaken to ensure that the café building meets the needs of all those interested in the site.

See “images” for plans for the site……….

Please contact us for any further information on this exciting new development.
